Challenge

The creator economy is growing fast (+22% annually), but platforms locked down audience data. Creators had no clear way to spot their champions or monetize loyalty.

Approach

Through discovery interviews and market analysis, we uncovered three key opportunities:

  • Fan Identification → Detect the top 5% of engaged fans.
  • Segmentation → Classify by loyalty, spend, and advocacy.
  • Activation → Reward superfans with gamified missions and perks.

Outcome

  • Creators gained clarity: a dashboard that revealed their top 5% superfans.
  • Managers saved time: consolidated reporting in Looker Studio replaced manual work.
  • Fans felt valued: gamification prototypes showed potential to boost recognition and loyalty.
  • Scalable foundation: a design system kept product and dev aligned even in seed stage.

My role

  • Research & discovery (interviews, benchmarks, competitive analysis).
  • UX design and prototyping of core journeys.
  • Design system setup with dev (Figma ↔ Storybook).
  • Marketing support (site, pitch deck, explainer video).

Quick Onboarding Value

Through multiple iterations, we refined onboarding into three simple steps, helping creators see value immediately — from sign-up to first insights, cutting friction and proving impact fast.

Reports That Drive Clarity

We designed reports through iterations to help creators understand artist–fan relationships. They highlighted superfans, engagement, performance, and impact — framed in a question-based format to make insights scannable and actionable.

Smart Audience Segments

We designed a fan list with smart segmentation, helping creators move from overwhelming data to clear segments — enabling them to spot trends, compare groups, and target efforts effectively.

Reward Rooms

We built lightweight microsites where fans saw their leaderboard rank and claimed exclusive rewards — giving creators a simple way to recognize loyalty and fans visibility plus tangible benefits.

Design System & Scale

We used Ant Design for immediate needs, while building custom components in Storybook, directly from Figma designs with shared tokens, states, and interactions.

Marketing Assets

I designed a website in Figma → Framer, plus a pitch deck and explainer video — giving the team credible materials to pitch confidently, showcase value, and spark early interest.

After more than a decade of regular collaborations, I am still impressed by his vision, his level of creativity, his ability to work in a team and communicate effectively while respecting deadlines.
